Rich 2023
Rich works through a minimal but politically sharp shift: in the word RICH, the German ICH – I – remains in place while only the R moves. It appears, disappears, pulses, and changes the meaning of the whole.
The work asks how deep the I sits inside every construction of value. The digital is not an addition, but the condition of the work. Only in animation can the R enter and leave the word; only through that movement does it become visible that meaning here is not fixed, but rhythmically produced.
As a projection in space, the word almost physically confronts the viewer‘s body. The reduced form exposes how tightly language, subject, and orders of value are entangled.
